This guide will help you set up your wallet and get funds on the Cultura Testnet, allowing you to interact with dApps and the blockchain.

1. Set Up Your Wallet for Testnet

  1. Install MetaMask browser extension if you don’t already have it
  2. Create a new wallet or import an existing one
  3. Add the Cultura network to MetaMask:
    • Open MetaMask and click on the network dropdown at the top
    • Select “Add Network” > “Add a network manually”
    • Enter the following details:
Network Name: Cultura Sepolia
Chain ID: 61892
RPC URL: https://sepolia.cultura.xyz
Currency Symbol: ETH
Block Explorer URL: https://sepolia.culturascan.xyz
Note: This public RPC endpoint is for personal use and is IP rate limited. If you’re building a dApp, please contact us for a private RPC endpoint.
  • Click “Save”

2. Get Testnet ETH on Sepolia (Ethereum Testnet)

Before you can bridge funds to Cultura, you need some Sepolia ETH (the currency used on the Sepolia test network). If you don’t have any, you can get some free test ETH from these faucets:

3. Bridge Funds to Cultura Testnet

Now, transfer your Sepolia ETH to the Cultura Testnet using the official bridge:
  1. Go to the Cultura Bridge.
  2. Connect your MetaMask wallet (ensure it’s set to the Sepolia network initially).
  3. The bridge should automatically detect Sepolia as the source. Ensure “Cultura Sepolia” is the destination.
  4. Enter the amount of ETH you want to bridge.
  5. Click “Review Bridge” and follow the prompts in MetaMask to approve and confirm the transaction.
  6. Wait for the bridging process to complete (this can take 5-15 minutes).

4. Verify Your Balance on Cultura

  1. In MetaMask, switch your network to Cultura Sepolia.
  2. Check that your ETH balance has been updated with the bridged funds.
  3. You’re now ready to interact with Cultura dApps!
